Color duplex ultrasound evaluation is the gold standard non-invasive exam for extracranial cerebrovascular arterial disease, as well as venous evaluation for Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).
Venous duplex is the most frequently requested exam due to patients experiencing swollen legs soon after a car/plane ride or post-op from general or orthopedic surgery. Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) is an emergency consideration and needs to be excluded first and foremost.
We offer Duplex Imaging Studies, which are very useful in the diagnosis of suspected arterial pathology, in addition to Segmental Pressure and Waveform Analysis, which is indicated for patients with suspected peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAD).
We have a team of highly trained vascular physicians that perform all of our studies.
